Well, its almost time for my favorite holiday. I look forward to this day every year! There are so many crafts associated with halloween and that’s what makes it fun for me. When I lived in the midwest, everyone decorated with ghosts, goblins etc. It was so much fun to drive around all the neighborhoods and see the decorations. Now that I live in Arizona, its not so much fun. Maybe you’ll see a house now and than with decorations but its not the same sort of excitement. Same goes for Christmas, New Years and The fourth of July! I would love to go to an adult halloween party! I have been saying those words for most of my adult life but have not been invited to one or even have heard of anyone having one ever!
I would really like to start doing miniatures again. I have made miniature furniture from scratch. Also, lots of miniature embroidery. Miniature collector and Nutshell news were my favorite mags. Still have a few of them in my “how-to” book collection. Print mini’s web site is a great place to print miniature stuff including miniature wall paper, flooring and even furniture.
Oh, I am in heaven today. I am off of work and I am going to fix my craft room to feature all my new Martha Stewart craft items. Her things are so elegant! I love my scoreboard. It is my favorite toy in my craftroom. Making envelopes to my hearts content. I am going to figure out new sizes that aren’t printed on her instructions and post them here. I want to make square envies. I have some expensive things in my craft room but, as of now, the Martha Stewart scoreboard is my favorite even though it cost me under $11. Oh, and the new circle cutter is my 2nd favorite!
I am knitting an afghan. It’s going to be 15 squares. Each of the squares will be different but all will be 14″ square. I am on my third one. I am using size 4 knitting needles and dk weight yarn. I will pick out the design of each square as I go along. I am usually thinking about the next design while I’m working on the current one. I haven’t knitted an afghan before. All my afghans have been Tunison crochet and one was just crochet. This one seems to be taking longer.
